Short biography
Gurpreet Ghuggi was born on 19th July 1971 in Khokhar Fojian, Punjab state. Ghuggi attended Doaba College, Jalandhar City, Punjab. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Punjab University. He started his acting career with Television serial aired on Jalandhar Doordarshan. He gained popularity after his lead role in TV soap opera Parchhaven aired since 1996. He received much publicity after taking part in reality show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge aired on STAR One TV. He won the contest Hans Baliye aired on Star One TV.
He made his film debut with Punjabi film Jee Aayan Nu in 2002.He subsequently appeared in numerous commercial successful films like Jatt James Bond co-starring Gippy Grewal, Zarine Khan and Yashpal Sharma, Bhaji in Problem co-starring Gippy Grewal, Ragini Khanna, Misha Bajwa and B.N. Sharma, Lucky Di Unlucky Story co-starring Gippy Grewal, Samiksha Singh, Surveen Chawla and Binnu Dhillon, Khiladi 786 co-starring Akshay Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, Asin, Mukesh Rishi and Himesh Reshammiya, Carry On Jatta co-starring Gippy Grewal, Mahie Gill, Binnu Dhillon and Jaswinder Bhalla, among other films.
