Arjun Kapoor was born on 26th Jun 1985 in Mumbai to Boney Kapoor and Mona Shourie Kapoor. He has a sister named Anshula Kapoor. His grandfather Surinder Kapoor was a Bollywood film producer. Bollywood actors Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor are his uncles. Bollywood actresses Sonam Kapoor, Mohit Marwah and producer Rhea Kapoor are his cousin. Kapoor attended Arya Vidya Mandir school in Chembur, he discontinued his education after failing in twelfth examinations. Arjun Kapoor suffered from obesity, weighed nearly 140kg, he took it confidently and achieved good body shape after hitting the gym regularly. Before making acting debut with Ishaqzaade in 2012 opposite Parineeti Chopra and Gauhar Khan he worked as an assistant director for several movies.
