Short biography
Mohit Raina was born into a Kashmiri Brahmin family on 14th August 1982 in a village near Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. He attended colleges in Mumbai and started his modeling career after completion of his education. When he was a teenager he weighed 107 kg and after persistent efforts he lost 29 kg. He developed interest in modeling and took part in Grasim Mister India 2005 contest and was placed in top five.
He started his acting career with Hindi television serial Antariksh – Ek Amar Katha in 2004. He also made his film debut with Don Muthu Swami in 2008 co-starring Mithun Chakraborty, Shakti Kapoor, Hrishita Bhatt, Dolly Minhas and Rohit Roy. He appeared in Television shows like Bhabhi, Chehra, Bandini and Ganga Kii Dheej.He gained popularity after appearing in Devon Ke Dev – Mahadev and Mahabharat. He earned Indian Telly Best Actor Award for his role in Devon Ke Dev – Mahadev.
