Short biography
Baburaj was born in Aluva, Kerala state, India. He started his film career appearing in small roles in Malayalam films. His film debut in major role was in 1994 with Beeshmacharyar which was directed by Cochin Haneefa. During his decades long career he worked for Malayalam, Bollywood and Telugu films. After gaining wide experience as actor he ventured into film direction through Black Dalia starring Suresh Gopi, Vani Viswanath and Baburaj. His second directorial venture was with Manushyamrugam starring Prithviraj , Baburaj, Kiran and Oviya. His biggest turning point is Malayalam film Salt N’ Pepper released in 2011, he received magnificent response from both audience and film makers. He earned nomination for Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for his performance in Salt N’ Pepper.
