Tamanna was born on 21st Dec 1989 in Mumbai to Santhosh a diamond merchant and Rajani Bhatia. She has an elder brother named Anand. She attended Maneckji Cooper Educational Trust School in Juhu, Mumbai. She is into acting since she was just 13 years old. She made her film debut with Chand Sa Roshan Chehra in 2005.
