Short biography
Kajol Devgan »”>Kajol Devgan was born on 5th August 1974 in Mumbai, Maharashtra state. She did her schooling at St Joseph Convent boarding school in Panchgani. She was a mischievous girl during her school days. She entered the films during her teenage; her debut was in 1992 through Bekhudi. She could not pursue her studies because of her busy film schedule and gave up school very early.
Kajol Devgan gained popularity after appearing in blockbuster hits like Baazigar co-starring Shahrukh Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Siddharth Ray, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge co-starring Shah Rukh Khan, Amrish Puri and Anupam Kher, Gupt co-starring Bobby Deol and Manisha Koirala, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham… co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Jaya Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor, among other films.
Considering her contribution to films Government of India honored her with Padma Shri Award in 2011.
