Rani Mukerji was born on 21st Mar 1978 in Mumbai to Ram Mukherjee, a Bollywood director & Krishna Mukherjee, a singer. She has an older brother named Raja Mukherjee. Bollywood actress Kajol and Bollywood director Ayan Mukerji is her paternal cousin. She attended Maneckji Cooper High School and SNDT Women’s University. Rani Mukerji is a well trained Odissi dancer. She studied acting at Roshan Taneja’s acting institute. She made her film debut with Bengali film Biyer Phool in 1992. Her Bollywood debut was with Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat in 1997 opposite Shadaab Khan, Javed Khan and Divya Dutta. She dated Aditya Chopra for some time before marrying him on 21st April 2014 in Italy.
