Short biography
Meera Jasmine was born on 15th February 1982 in Kuttapuzha village, Thiruvalla, Kerala state. She attended Bala Vihar School and Marthoma Residential School, Thiruvalla.
She was doing her BSc in Zoology at Assumption College in Changanassery when she was offered lead role by director Blessy in Malayalam movie Soothradharan in 2001 co-starring Dileep, Cochin Haneefa and Salim Kumar. She never aspired to be an actress, it was just an accident in her career, she dreamed of being a doctor but fate ended her in films. Her Tamil film debut was with Run co-starring R. Madhavan, Vivek and Atul Kulkarni, the film was a huge blockbuster hit.
She subsequently worked for numerous commercial hits like Kasthooriman co-starring Kunchako Boban, Kalashala Babu and Shammi Thilakan, Swapnakoodu co-starring Prithviraj, Jayasurya, Bhavana and Kunchako Boban, Maurya co-starring Puneeth Rajkumar, Roja and Komal Kumar, Bhadra co-starring Ravi Teja, Prakash Raj, Arjan Bajwa and Pradeep Rawat, Kasthuri Maan with Kunchako Boban, Sandakozhi co-starring Vishal, Rajkiran and Suman Setty, Rasathanthram co-starring Mohanlal and Bharath Gopi, Raraju co-starring Gopichand, Sivaji and Ankitha, Arasu, Vinodayathra co-starring Dileep, Mukesh and Murali, Yamagola Malli Modalayindi with Srikanth, among other films.
