1. Student No.1 – 2001
Student No.1 was directed by S.S. Rajamouli and co-starred Gajala and Rajeev Kanakala. It was debut film for noted director S.S. Rajamouli. Film was made with budget of INR2 crore and grossed INR12 crore at box office. It was Jr. NTR’s first blockbuster hit which established him in Tollywood firmly. Film tells the story of young man who is convicted of murder and attends a law college with the permission of prison authorities. In college he tries to fight against college gangster who rules the college campus. The film completed 100 days in 42 centres of Andra Pradesh.
2. Aadi – 2002
Aadi was directed by V.V. Vinayak and co-starred Keerti Chawla, Rajan P. Dev, Ali, L.B. Sriram, Venu Madhav and M.S. Narayana. Film was made with budget of INR80 million and collected INR200 million at box office. Film became blockbuster hit of the year and was the top grosser of the year. Film was remade in Tamil as Jai starring Prashanth, Thiagarajan, Anshu Ambani, Rajkiran and Bhanupriya. Film completed 175 days in 18 centres in the state. Film tells the story of rich man who entrusts his whole property to his manager who misuses his property for personal gains. After returning from USA when he demands his property he and his wife are killed but his only son manages to survive with the help of a well wisher. His son finally takes the revenge against antagonist and distributes the property among villagers.
3. Simhadri – 2003
Simhadri was directed by S.S. Rajamouli and co-starred Ankitha, Bhoomika Chawla, Mukesh Rishi, Brahmanandam and Nassar. Film was made with the budget of INR9 crore and grossed INR26 crore at box office. It was the first biggest hit of his film career. Film completed 200 days in 15 centres of state and was concidered as All Time hit of Telugu film industry. It was also remade in Tamil as Gajendra starring Vijayakanth, Laya, Flora and Sarath Babu, and in Kannada as Kanteerava starring Vijay »”>Duniya Vijay, Shuba Poonja, Rishika Singh and Srinivasa Murthy. Film tells the story of an orphan who was taken care of by a kind hearted man. He falls in love with a mentally challenged girl and refuses to marry the girl of his godfather’s choice. Orphan finally fights the antagonist and makes his god father happy.
4. Rakhi – 2006
Rakhi was directed by Krishna Vamsi and co-starred Charmme Kaur, Ileana D’Cruz, Suhasini and Ravi Varma. Film was made with budget of INR150 million and grossed INR210 million at box office. Film completed 100 days in 25 centres of Andra Pradesh. Film tells the story of young man who dreams of becoming railway stationmaster. When his beloved sister was burnt alive for dowry he decides to kill everyone responsible for her death and also as a social justice he keeps on doing his vigilantly justice to other families too.
5. Yamadonga – 2007
Yamadonga was directed by S.S. Rajamouli and co-starred Priyamani, Mohan Babu, Mamta Mohandas and Kushboo. Film was made with budget of INR245 million and grossed INR420 million at box office. Film tells the story of an orphan who wants to make quick money, he finds an opportunity to make fortune by surrendering a rich girl to gang who plans to kill her. But upon the surrender gang leader kills him and he reaches Yamaloka and story revolves with plans of Yama and the lead role trying to outsmart each other. The film completed 100 days in 92 centres all over India and became one of biggest hits of the year.
6. Adhurs – 2010
Adhurs was directed by V.V. Vinayak and co-starred Nayantara, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sheela, Ashish Vidyarthi, Nasser, Mahesh Manjrekar and Brahmanandam. Film was made with budget of INR30 crore and grossed INR59 crore at box office. Film tells the story of twin brothers separated at birth and raised in different families. Gangsters search for the father of the twins who happens to be a scientist.
7. Brindavanam – 2010
Brindavanam was directed by Vamsi Paidipally and co-starred Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal, Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Mukesh Rishi and Srihari. Film was made with budget of INR300 million and grossed INR350 million at box office. Film tells the story of young son a wealthy industrialist who agrees to act as a boy friend of his friend, to satisfy her parents. He visits her parents and wins the heart of her parents. The film was a huge hit and remade in several languages including in Kannada starring Darshan, Saikumar, Karthika Nair, Milana Nagaraj, Jai Jagadish and Doddanna.
8. Oosaravelli – 2011
Oosaravelli was directed by Surender Reddy and co-starred Shaam, Tamannaah Bhatia, Prakash Raj, Payal Ghosh, Vidyut Jamwal and Adhvik Mahajan. Film was made with budget of INR40 crore and grossed INR97 crore at box office, becoming super hit of the year. The story is inspired from Chinese film Vengeance released in 2009. Film tells the story of young man who is ready to do anything for money. He falls in love with a girl who is kidnapped by terrorists and rescues her. The girl’s family was murdered by a gang and he promises her to kill everyone responsible for their death.
9. Dammu – 2012
Dammu was directed by Boyapati Srinu and co-starred Trisha Krishnan, Karthika Nair, Venu Thottempudi, Bhanupriya, Nassar, Suman and Brahmanandam. The film completed 50 days in 25 centres and went on to run 100 days. Film tells the story of a gangster who fights against another gangster who is wanted for terrorist attacks.
