Short biography
Samantha Ruth Prabhu was born on 28th April 1987 Chennai, Tamil Nadu state. She did her schooling at St.Stephens Matriculation school and Holy Angels Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School, Chennai. She is a commerce graduate from Stella Maris College, Chennai. She started her modeling career at teen age for pocket money and subsequently took it seriously.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu made her movie debut in 2010 through Telugu film Ye Maaya Chesave opposite Naga Chaitanya, she earned Filmfare Best Female Debut – South Award for her performance in the film. She subsequently worked for blockbuster hits like Dookudu co-starring Mahesh Babu, Brahmanandam and Prakash Raj, Eega co-starring Sudeep and Nani, Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu co-starring Nani, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu co-starring Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu and Prakash Raj, Jabardasth co-starring Siddharth, Nithya Menen and Sunil, Attarintiki Daredi opposite Pawan Kalyan, Manam co-starring Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Shriya Saran and Naga Chaitanya, among other films.
